I found this website quite useful when I was researching this last year. It is one of the few places that seems to have all of the weights in one place!
I settled with a Vaude Power Lizard SUL 2-3P. It is lightweight but there will be obvious restrictions with it - I don't know how well it will stand up to high winds etc. It certainly won't replace out Hilleberg but we could not afford a 2nd one of those!

Well if price is 2ndry, answer is almost certainly Hilleberg. model depends on your size versus weight preference.
Their 2 man models are roomy so don't need 3 man merely to have extra space - unless of course there are 3 of you. I'd suggest a Kaitum or Nallo with or without the GT porch would fit the bill.
I have a nallo 2 & a kaitum 2gt - the kaitum having 2 porches, and GT meaning one porch is extra large. If buying again I'd probably get a kaitum2 without the big porch and not get the nallo as well - though the big porch is good.
Price is brutal but quality , design & attention to detail is superb. Low weight for the size and robustness.

Tarptent Scarp 2 should be pretty roomy if my Scarp 1 is anything to go by. I am BTW a very happy Scarp 1 owner.

Consider Terra Nova's Superlite Voyager. We've had three incarnations of this tent and used in the foulest of mountain conditions. Only changed to get lighter version. Strictly 2 person though. Terra Nova are a Derbyshire company and make VERY good tents. Equal to any in the world IMHO.

I've just bought a Tarptent Scarp 2. The total price was £298 (inc Import Duty) and the whole transaction was very straightforward. I'm impressed with the stability, internal space and weight (1.7 kg). It feels more spacious than my previous 2 man tent (a Nallo 2). Next week I'm off to France with it for 10 days. I can give you an update on return.

Recommending a tent is always fraught with problems:
As you have not said where or when you will be touring then that can be a problem.
Personally if you are first time campers I would suggest buying a more heavier 2 man tent. The reason being that lightweight tents because of the light materiel used will bang and rattle in the slightish wind , until you get used to this you will not sleep well at night, because you will worry the tent is going to blow away. or rain coming into the tent.
In the past I have found that Blacks Eurohike tents are ok, and they are cheap, and from my work as a DOE expedition assessor they seem to be sturdy enough for life on Dartmoor. Once you are sure you want to tour more often you can purchase a more expensive and lighter tent.
