Taiwan took on what we Brits used to do many years back. They have not just the technical knowledge but they're also close to the source materials for manufacturing in some cases. Most manufacturers seem to be afraid of letting this slip, but the reality is its mostly fine, and in some cases better than it ever was over here. Only downside is their guys get paid peanuts.
IIRC Cycling Weekly did a bit on what UK companies still manufactured here and it was only one or two mostly bespoke companies
