I've said on another thread - I'd favour coming in line with Athens time.
The next places on our present time are Portugal, Madeira, and the Canary Islands. They're far enough west to justify it.
We'd have moved several times snce the experiment was ended, but it always gets voted down by scots MPs. Perhaps once there are less of them in the next parliament there'll be change. Until then, no hope.
I can't see any good reason why, if the Scots* like dark evenings, they can't be stay in the Lisbon time zone while we in England move. Come to that why can't the English have a vote on Scottish independence - it would be sure to happen then!
*Same goes for the Welsh and the Irish.
