Google Buzz

Having just moved all my email across to Gmail, I've just noticed I've got a Buzz account that I've never really taken advantage of. Anyone else using this? Is it useful?

I toyed with it for a week when I first became aware of it, but haven't used it since, to be honest.

Same as Fnaar, a group of us at work played with it for a few days, then haven't used it since.

Nah it's still there. I've also got a Google Wave account, not sure whether that was given up on or not.

Nah it's still there. I've also got a Google Wave account, not sure whether that was given up on or not.

Wave died. Its a shame, because it was potentially a good product, but it wasn't well marketed or implemented. I reckon much of the tech will find its way into Gmail, Docs etc., eventually. Its still open source, so it will turn up elsewhere too.

Messed around with Buzz for a few days, but got bored pretty quick. Really couldn't see what it offered that other stuff doesn't. Also odd to name a product the same as a competitors social tool (Yahoo! Buzz - launched two years earlier). Am surprised that Buzz hasn't been quietly disposed of yet.

Just seems to be Googles way of doing business. Come up with something, push it out as a beta and see if it sticks. If it doesn't, never mind, move onto the next thing.

No, but if you go into the labs you can change the logo back to its original beta one
