Google Earth Flight Simulator

Anyone else had a play with this? I don't like computer games as a rule but I discovered the G. E. flight simulator the other day and it's great fun. Takes a bit of getting used to, but stuff like flying over the Alps for example is pretty realistic. I've somehow just landed an F.16 jet fighter on Frinton beach. (Apologies to the locals - I'll shift it as soon as I can figure out how) .

Not quite related, but a lot of the updates to Street view in Nov/Dec for France, a few bits of Italy etc and many other places are pretty cool. Street view for Urbino, not bad at all .

It's a freebie add on CP. Go into 'Tools' in G.E. and there it is. You get a choice of aircraft and runway to start from. Of you can start from wherever and freefall from 60,000' as I kept doing until I worked out the controls!

The oldest bits of the city. Not incredibly big view on some via but a good idea. They might do more one day, a lot of the places in Northern Italy on the original places have been expanded massively.

One of my only ever attempts at a computer game was as a virtual air traffic controller where I managed to collide 2 jumbo jets over London with huge loss of life. It then casually asked me if I wanted another go but I was too upset at the carnage I'd caused.

Nice one- will give that a go. Flying down the Great Glen from Inverness is pretty good as well. I'm still stuck on Frinton sea front at the moment, but once I get going I'll head for Arizona!

Not bad for a freebie. I prefer European Air War for my flying kicks though!
