Why is the time so different from how long it actually takes. I am currently cycling into croydon from work did it in just over and hour. On google maps its telling me 1 hour 20 odd minutes.

I think google maps averages cycling at 10mph, at least that what it has always seemed to me when I have checked other routes and know that I can do them a lot quicker.
Walking seems to be averaged around 2-3mph.

yep suppose its set on averages. Did the route tonight in under an hour. Dont think I am anything special when it comes to cycling
