can I just say what a useless abysmal piece of junk googlemail is it must have been designed by a bunch of dyslexic 7 year olds.
Its layout is crazy and has no logic to it. Post go mysteriously missing into a black hole ? They only show the first few words of each mail which is useless as frequently numerous mails can have the same first line ie all notifications from ebay so you have to open each mail one byu one to find the one you want. grrrrr

Then when you close the email it doesn't mark it to show where you have already been which means you frequently reopen the same email GAHGGGGGGGGGGgggggggggg

Why can't they simply use a nice simple straightforward format like Outlook Express which works nooooo lets make a really complicated messy cluttered one instead.

I am going to dump them tonight nuffs nuff

I must be a dyslexic 7 year old, because I use gmail and get on perfectly well with it.

I get on ok with it. To me, the only irritating thing is the location of the 'Compose' link - it should be the easiest thing to see on the page, but it's tucked away under the GoogleMail logo instead.

I manage ok ... and now I can check email when I'm not at home, and I won't loose all my email contacts/mail when I change internet providers.

If I have a address name@googlemail.com is it also the same as name@gmail.com? I've had one form to fill in (?passport application) where I used up every single box they gave me.

i much prefer it to the version of outlook i get forced to use at uni.

there is a difference between the ones you've read and the one's you haven't it is also possible to set it up to use with outlook.

+1 There are instructions on the googlemail page, you just need to tweak the settings in Outlook Express (or any other mail system) and you gmails drop into there.

Learn the shortcut keys and everything gets a lot easier (just press 'C' and a new email will open up ready for you to compose etc)

+2 I use it as an IMAP server, you can POP3 it too. I think it's a nice offering personally.

I really like gmail, and find it suits me perfectly! It also turned me on to all things google... google docs and a blogspace I use for work, google maps, google this and google that, and now the google android phone I'm sending this from, which syncs everything smoothly...
