GoPro footage... Faster than memory?

Hi,

I did a ride around Cannock chase with a GoPro today... Looking back at the footage it seems a lot faster than I remember it (replay speed is real time).

Is this a common thing, or is my brain running in slow-mo on a mountain bike?

The wide-angle lens makes it seem faster, but as you get better at riding, the brain seem to run faster and things appear to slow down, even though you're going very quickly!
