Got some in this afternoon, 3 pints of bitter and a gin & tonic, then rode home, got home safely, not something i normally do.

You usually end up in A&E?

Got 3 cases of Marston's Pedigree, Strawberry wine, Home brew Pinot Grigio, Sainsbury's Irish whiskey, Gin, Vodka + lots of sherry, port etc. And after all that GF has us booked to start Cambridge diet in the new year so got a lot to get through in the next week .

I got all our beers in yesterday with contributions from my 2 southern based sons.

It worked out at £1.79 per bottle direct from visiting the brewery shop as against £2.19 per bottle in the high street. We saved £17 on 48 bottles- see link below:

Closed until after Christmas now, though.

This gave me an idea - Colin J - how about a late spring/summer 50 miler starting and ending in Hebden Bridge and designing the route so that in the last 5 or 6 miles we stop off at Little Valley Brewery for a couple of pints of amber nectar. Then we could have a wobbly but joyous 4 mile downhill to Crag Vale, Mytholmroyd and the easy flat 1 mile ride back to Hebden Bridge.

Looking forward to more forum rides in 2012.

It's all good stuff Teef - I like their porter and stouts best. I've got a Breakfast Stout but at 9.3% it could be an early end to the day, might risk a snifter tomorrow morning though!

I'm sipping a second small glass of the home brew my brother in law brought. Very nice it is.

It's named after an innocent utterance of my nephew who was around 3 at the time.

I don't fancy going into a pub to ask for a half of Smell my Willy.

But it's nice stuff!

If my memory is not performing a trickiotomy on me, Stingo used to be a brand of Barley Wine down here. At the age of virtually 18, we went on an 11 pub crawl down Eltham High Street drinking a bottle at each pub. I've never touched barley wine since.
