At the moment my only 'bent is (was) the Catrike 700 trike. I've owned a couple of 2 wheelers, a Bacchetta Strada with the 'superman' bars, and an Optima Baron with the hamster bars. After 'converting' to trikes with under-seat steering I wanted to try the same with a 2 wheeler, but just couldn't justify shelling out a large wad to do it. Then I saw this come up on ebay. It'd been on previously with a higher reserve, but when it reappeared with a 700 quid reserve, I had to have a punt, despite the colour! I'd much prefer red (all my riding gear is red) but I suppose it's a good match for my Ortleib panniers.
The bike is immaculate, with loads of extras (computer mount and wireless cateye computer/front and rear mudguards/hub dynamo and light/carrier/Hs33 hydraulic brakes?/and sprung front fork.) The original receipt said £2,182, so to get a minter for less than a 3rd of the retail price is a bit of a bargain in my book. I know it's not the fastest or lightest 'bent available, but after having a quick spin, I'm sure it must be one of the comfiest. Since the pics, I've given her a bit of a service, dropped the bars forward, and lowered the seat to its lowest setting so it's the same angle as the Catrike. Now all I have to do is give the garage a good clear-out so I can get my mountain bike/road bike/trike/motorbike and the new addition in!
