I hope so, got a bit carried away I think and thought it was going to be a lot easier than it was.So will build up slow and get my confidence up a bit 1st.
Got a Trek 7.1 fx from my LBS in Altrincham.
I overdid it myself when I first got my new bike (hadn't cycled for 6 months or so), and decided to travel to Altrincham town centre. I went the 67/68/100 bus route from Salford Pecinct and the 41 bus route from town most of the way (apparently 263 route is a lot shorter!), and got lost. I made it eventually but I was knackered!
I ended up getting the train back to Manchester Piccadilly. First one was packed, so no room for a bike - had to wait about an hour for another one. It didn't cost much though: £1.50. Inspector let some chavs get away with not paying! Got lost again at Piccadilly station, ending up in the car park! I found the correct exit eventually. I then cycled back to Salford which wasn't too far. Unfortunately, I didn't learn from my mistake and went a similar journey shortly after, without catching any trains back. I should have injuries really as I never learn, but last injury I had on a bike was over a decade ago: a broken arm. Somehow, I managed to ride the bike with the broken arm. It still healed though, and quicker than it should have done!

I'm lucky with bike injuries, or rather lack of them!
