Did an 18 mile ride yesterday lunch time got home after about an hour noticed my front tyre was completely flat..thought that's strange never noticed it whilst I was out so pumped it up and left it for awhile and all seemed ok.My eldest lad wanted to go for a ride at tea time so we set off on a 15 mile ride about half way through I looked down and the front tyre looked like it had lost some air stopped and sure enough it had but once again couldn't notice it whilst riding so pumped it up a couple more times on the ride home just to keep it topped up and took the innertube out once I got home and found the tiniest pin prick size hole.Just before I repaired it my wife said "do you think you can fix it" now my kids have had bikes most of their lives so I have repaired more punctures than I care to remember how dare she question my abilities haha after I repaired the puncture I spent about 20 mins with a bright light trying to find if there was anything in the tyre.
Yes this is a long post but it gave you something to read instead of just posting the title lol

On C2C recently we rode through a stretch of road where the farmer was flaying the hawthorn hedge and over the next few miles members of our group of 21 riders had 17 punctures to repair. It kept us adults busy.

Only about 7 of the kids had punctures but they were multiple punctures! One had three in the same tyre.

Are them slime tubes really good?

I use slime or Stans in all my tyres, the MTB runs tubeless and without it they would not seal on the rim. Try one, what have you got to lose, maybe a little more practise in puncture repair that is all.

As an after thought, last time I changed one of my MTB tyres a few weeks back there was 11 thorns in it, that beat the record of 7 the time before.
