any advice of what to look at i like the following bikes would feel happier with a triple or compact with hill friendly rear cassette
Giant Defy Composite 2 2012
Specialized Tarmac 2013
Specialized Roubaix Sport Compact 2013
going to do some research at lbs but any informed advice welcome thanks

Just call to check stocks - the only time I ordered from them, it was out of stock despite the site saying otherwise. I think they refunded efficiently though

I have the tarmac 2013 and love it :bicycle::hyper:

my only advice woudl be try and ride all of them, in your size. Also a ride of about an hour would be helpful and do at least 2 different rides on different days. I have found it really difficult to tell what works and doesnt for me, which has put me off buying anything.

Finally, if after riding you like all of the, pick the one that floats your boat the most, as it then more likely you are going to ride it. I have a compact on mine with a 25 rear cassette and now feel I should have gone for a triple (being older and slower).

But try, try and try again before you buy!
