The SatMap show current speed, maximum speed, moving average and overall average - probably same as other GPS units.

But don't record them on the tracks!

Unless there has been an update....... When you play a SatMap track on Memory Map or Anquet you get the track, but no speed or elevation data

You can always view them from the Profile.

However, I've just done a test, and exported a .map file from the SatMap for the trip I did last Sunday. It converted it to a .gpx, which I renamed and saved onto my PC. I then imported it back again, and then selected View and Profile and all the data is still there.

I can also open the file on the PC in Notepad, and it shows all the individual bits of data. For example from last week:-

The oldest file I've got saved back onto my PC is from April 2011 and it's the same, so I don't know if they changed something in the past (I've only had mine just over a year).

I use the Satmap along with memory map, after a trip I upload the Rawtack file and open in memory map, then if I run the curson along the track I can see my speed shown along with elevation at any given point, etc If you have the latest software update installed you can set the screen info boxes to show your moving speed.
