Would an iphone be capable of providing a good gps system or would it be better to go for a dedicated system such as the Garmin? I don't want to travel with too many gadgets and thought the iphone could double up on many electronic jobs.
The iphone battery would only last a few hours for navigation. The Garmin 605/705 would last 12+ plus and would be better for bike use. I have two iphones and a 705, and the 705 is a better and more sensible option for use as a bike computer.
