Shame if it's for sale due to Graeme falling on bad times.I hope not.

Ach, the inclusion of his medals suggests it might be - and that would be very sad.

Given we are speculating... let me go really far out there...

I have briefly spoken with him and I got a sense of the energy he emits. I hope this isn't driven by financial reasons, but I immediately wondered if it was a case of purging? It can be quite therapeutic, but hard not to be regretful about at a later date.

He is an inspiration, no doubt about it.

Do you think they will all end up on a Rapha cafe wall?

Anyone interested in nipping over to have a viewing next Friday lunchtime?

I cannot think of a company that is more the opposite of Graeme's philosophy than Rapha, I really don't hope they get involved, unless it is to purchase everything keep it in storage and give it back to Graeme should he ever regret selling.
It would be nice for it to stay in Scotland and together.Maybe in a Scottish velodrome.

A legacy is that written and passed down and that he certainly has. Whether he needs material proof of that legacy himself who's to say. I hope it's not simply a means to survive but if it is, at least he has that (not sure a lot of people would have anything at all to fall back on).

If the auction pieces do go off to private individuals they'll likely never see the light of day again as altruism isn't normally a collector's priority. That doesn't feel right but at the same time it might be difficult for a museum or similar to put plans in place.

Shame that not everything seemed to have been sold and what did didn't always reach a price that reflected the importance/rarity.
