I've just bought a fairly cheap one to use with Adobe Illustrator but it's only been out of the box for a couple of hours and seems really quite handy - anyone got an tips to use them more effectively?

    Cheers!

Get the variable pressure / brush width set properly - practice.

If you have a double thumb button on the pen, use one for right-click and put the eraser on the other

Have fun with it, they really are handy. I use mine all the time, instead of the mouse. Much easier once you're used to it.

Agreed, and gives you a level of control you just can't get with a mouse

Brilliant things! Though my wacom ones don't have the overlay facility they had back, as they say on Radio 1, in the day.
