Hey Lisa, does Millie need some company on the sympathy couch? Because here's another one in the wars.

He's split a pad on something sharp on the beach. He's got to go in tomorrow to have it stitched.

Got any of those tins of beans left?

Oh No:sad::tongue:
Hope he's ok...iv got some beans left, they are in the post to you as we speak;)

Give him a big cuddle from me-I bet he's milking it for the sympathy value:biggrin:

Oh yeah, you should have heard the big groan out of him as I stroked him after we got back from the vets.

3 to 4 weeks it takes for a pad to heal. Light walks only. He doesn't know what that means. He's a tear arse of a dog.

Jeez all these attention seeking pooch's!!

I shall dig out the pics of Molly my beagle after she jumped a 5.5ft fence to chase a fox and was hit by a VW golf at 50-60mph!

Broken leg and hip, 100+ stiches and plenty of grazes! vet forecast months of rehab and doggy physio and never a total recovery, after 2 weeks she had chewed off her plaster casts and stitch dressings and was as mental/naughty as ever!

Not that its a competition :rolleyes:

Bloody hell Wigsie she was lucky:ohmy::ohmy: poor thing:sad:

Crackle-"light walks" were not in Millie's vocabulary either!! And I was wrapping her leg in clingfilm before we went out to keep her bandage clean and dry:biggrin:
Pads do take so much longer to heal but all her staples are out now and she is 98% fixed. Still being careful with her, and spraying her pad with Terramycin just to be on the safe side.
Think she looks funky with purple fur...I might do her face too:biggrin::biggrin:(joking):rolleyes:

That is one cute looking pup!!!! Hope he 'heels' quickly Cracks. :biggrin:

Just got him back from the vets. Had to have a general anaesthetic. Lots of sub-cutaneous stitches but just split, he hasn't lost any of the pad.

He's very unsettled at the moment, lots of whining, doesn't quite know what to do with himself, poor lad. Settled him down on his cushion and sat next to him and he's falling asleep.
