Gravel bike - £5000

For £5k you can shop around and build up a top-tier bike yourself. IMHO, at this price point, complete bikes are generally a bad deal. I'd go for a Time ADHX or Look 765 Gravel RS frames (each circa £2.5k). Then a selection of components that you like - maybe £1k for the groupset, £1.2k for wheels and what's left for accessories (some of which you maybe have?).

I think you have to decide what sort of bike your after. A road bike with big tyres cervelo Caledonia or Cannondale synapse se etc, or a MTB with drop handlebars.

I'd buy the first but not the second.

5k is a big whack on a bike.
You can get a lovely custom North Road gravel set up painted as you like and with whatever you want for less than that.

Have a look at Spa Cycles in Starbeck, Harrogate, I think you could get a top tier gravel bike, built to your spec & two sets of wheels, with off road tyres & road tyres for a lot less than the Trek, they're very close to the train station too.

What no titanium? Tripster ATR, Reilly Gradient, Dolan ADX, etc: all superb, all available as framesets to build to your requirements, all available on C2W.

Thank you for all your great recommendations. Outside of the big brands, looks like there are plenty of great options. I also love the look of north road bikes. They’re based in Manchester so I might go there and have a look in person.
