I'm jealous. Glamorous it may not be, but interesting yes. Are you sourcing materials for chicken nuggets?

nb I quite liked Russian fast food - have you tried pirozhki (пирожки) and pelmeny (пельмени) -different varieties of 'stuff' in pastry? They'll keep you full and warm for a few kopeks when the chill wind blows across the steppes.

I've done a fair bit of overseas work as a service engineer and it's definitely not glamorous, and not always very interesting.

People think you're off on holiday, but I've been to places and not seen a thing. In a week in China I worked eighty hours over seven days and saw a section of the wall on a Saturday morning for an hour before spending ten hours in a biscuit factory, and that was my only sight seeing apart from bar street.

Then there's the trips in local taxis........

Luckily our company has a guy who was employed specifically for the foreign trips, and he's welcome to them.

We're hoping to make all kinds of products, but there are issues at the plant due to the cold.

So far I've had doughnuts filled with cabbage though ....
Saw the Pelmeny in the Supermarket though, but not tried it yet.
But agree, the food is different but still good. And yes, travel to these strange places is certainly interesting!

Now to add insult to injury ... the local steam-plant has gone kaputski and the hotel has no heating! It's bloody -25C outside and my only true friends in the world are an oil filled electric radiator and a woolly hat!
