Oh dear, after 2 days of sunshine the rain we know and love so well up here has returned. Could be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong winter. Anyone up this way that wants to do a few miles? But I only go out if it's sunny. And warm. And no wind. So not very often. But Plan A for next year could be the Milan San Remo Sportive event - any interest? Looking to get 6 - 10 willing 'volunteers' and put a trip together. 9 June 2013

Hi Demonclimber and :welcome:

You're in my favourite part of the country so I'm quite jealous. I'd love to join you for the odd ride but the small matter of 160 miles makes it unlikely for the moment.

I only go out when it's rainy, windy, freezing. Is there any other option?

160 miles - a mere bagatelle of a warm up before the main event. If you're ever up this way tho do come and sample our appallingly surfaced roads, potholes, short but sharp hills, and a bit of scenery for good measure
