Here for rides.
One of the guitarists I used to play with had one, he loved it. As a result of his enthusiasm I had an Electrometric long scale bass for a bit. Wasn't for me. Not the tone I was after. Well made bit of kit though, for not too much money.

My mate (who plays in a band) loves 'em. (Hang on - I didn't really register the Electromatic bit...I just know he's always raving about his Gretsch geetars. I don't know what model they are.)

Is that what Brian Setzer plays? Flipping brilliant guitarist.
He is indeed!!
:okay::notworthy::okay::notworthy:
Based, on the G6120 range, but with some very custom finishes

Setzer was the first artist to have a signature line, from Gretsch (in 1990) since Chet Atkins in 1961!!!
He also, almost single-handedly, re-invented 2 genres of music; Rockabilly (with The Stray Cats), & Big Band, with his eponymously named 'Orchestra'

He could also play pretty good blues too, search for 'Drink That Bottle Down'

Another Gretsch player of note, but equally for her stage wear was Poison Ivy, of The Cramps
I'm not sure I should add some of the clips here, due to her outfit:wacko:
(Ill let you find 'Like A Bad Girl')

The White Falcon, to me anyway, is best known for Billy Duffys opening riff in She Sells Sanctuary
Turn it up loud, for the first 30 seconds or so

I had one a few years ago, a double cut version, the pickups were ok, good for a typical 50's sound, but I wasn't keen on having so many volume controls (2 separate ones and a master- I never understood why they didn't just have one master and an extra tone for the neck or bridge pickup)

Have you looked at the Fender Coronado ?

BillY Duffy in an earlier guise

The Cramps were always better with 2 guitars & no bass...
