meaning literally "hilly rides of the south"

a reminder that this year's series of 100km Audax events (with one exception; the IOW) with its own unique award kicks off this Saturday with the Hills and Mills; some old favourites and a couple of new ones to enjoy those views from the top. Plenty of rides to catch up if you don't like early season events.

NB the recent changes to AAA points have not affected the rides which qualify; but as a guide more AA means more hills. They are all great rides.

see http://www.egcc.net/display-items.asp?intTypeID=90&intItemID=417 for more details

you're absolutely right; and anyone who qualifies will indeed also be a "Climber of the South", although the series refers to the series of events which are also termed Grimpeurs
