Rumoured to be a 9 month ban, back-dated to August.

Hard to argue with that but it seems hard to believe that Jakobsen would ever want to race again!

Jakobsen was placed into an induced coma after the life-threatening crash and has undergone multiple surgeries to a plethora of facial injuries which included severe damage to his jaw and teeth. He will undergo further surgery next year and hopes to resume training later this month.

How much does it cost to Oldham?
Lester piggott went through less.

How much racing will there be in the next nine months ? Off season and time suspended. It was a horrible crash and I'm not criticising the ban as such. But it was a sh1te finish, downhill sprint with dodgy barriers. Will either rider ever be the same.

effectively banned for the time he was recovering from his own broken collarbone.

the result of the crash was horrible, but some of that down to the inadequate barriers etc.

that said the move that caused it was pretty poor riding, that of a desperate rider who knew he was about to be beaten.

that said he did immediately apologize and has consistently shown regret and remorse since the incident.

there are no right and wrong answers for this one

Deceuninck suing Groenewegen.

Not sure if this is sensible. But hey, I don't know anything about this subject.

Also Lefevre has interesting stuff to say about safety in that article.

Why are Quick Step suing? Surely they have insurance against riders beingn injured and losing performance/covering pay as a result? It’s standard in football and rugby...
...so it’s the insurers who are suing. Brilliant
