Finally got round to getting myself a cafetiere, so am looking for opinions of people's favourite coffee.

Will buy a few different ones to try them out, so give us your choice.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
https://www.bodum.com/gb/en/10903-01uk# plus coffee beans. We get our usual supply from Union Coffee of Islington.

Aldi's Specially Selected range is good and cheap, £2 for 200g.
Atkinson's of Lancaster do some excellent blends, but at almost £5 for 200g, it's a rare and costly treat. Unlike their prices, their premises is like a step back in time though...

Beware their tempting chocolate bars... they'll set you back tenner!

My day-to-day coffee is Asda's Extra Special Brazilian. Which, at £2.50 for 227g, is great.

My favourite is from a local shop (who do mail order) - https://www.thebeanshop.co.uk/products/brazil-daterra-sweet-yellow-coffee-beans. They have a coffee selector where you can choose by characteristic. A little more expensive but great for a treat.

Loch side.
Is there much difference to pre ground?

Not sure if it'll be too much faff for me, but would consider it if there is a definite improvement.
Electric coffee-grinders are difficult animals to live with. They generate incredible static electricity which charges the coffee particles and makes them stick to everything in the vicinity. They become impossible to wipe and get rid of.

Buy pre-ground.

Using the tesco £9 a kilo beans at the mo, not too bad but don't know just how fresh most of these beans are as they don't give a roasted on date.
