Not hostile - I swear an awful lot. I'm genuinely puzzled why someone would come on an internet forum and hint at insider knowledge that may or may not be confidential. If it's not confidential - then say it. If it is confidential, then leave the laptop on a train like everyone else does.

Finally got a reply from G4S, though I wasn't very impressed with the tone. They also asked me to remove the clip from youtube, since it could apparently compromise their security and secondly the safety of their employees.

I'm not convinced - this video is showing nothing that's not obvious to anyone else out on the roads. I think it's more a case of trying to avoid company embarassment. What do you guys think I should do?

If you’d followed and filmed the vehicle all week and revealed its pick up and drop off patterns etc they might have a point – but one clip of an unidentifiable location…. Pull the other one – tell them to stop their employees compromising the security and secondly the safety of other road users….

Sounds like a cop out “security” excuse to me… I think the average terrorist or armed robber has a slightly more sophisticated intelligence gathering plan than to sit and watch you tube in the hope that “that bloke on a recumbent, who rides around South London” might just reveal that an armoured security van could drive down an unidentified A road at sometime of the day or night…

I can't say too much ( I really can't) but some of those vans are not used for what you may think and they are not driven by "normal" employees. As such they follow some rather special exemptions. ( Obviously if involved in an RTC then they are liable)

Mikey, if you've not already undergone extraordinary rendition, I'd leave it up.

Leave the video up, they have no legal right to ask for its removal and would need a court order to actually get it taken down.

It doesnt compramise anything - they've done that themselves. I would however send it to the press.
