Why commute into work on a Brommie, and then leave it fully unfolded and locked to a bike rack, thus blocking the use to those on normal size bikes

Maybe the user can't take it indoors? Ive just bought a folder for the days when I know I'm going to be driving in and riding home or vice versa, and to guarantee carriage on the train but I still have to lock it up in the bike shed as there's no where to put it inside my work place.

I fold mine up and keep it under my desk at work. I tend to agree with you here Lee, one of the joys of having a Brommie is not having to worry about it getting nicked! So why chain it up if you don't have to.

Though maybe some employers won't allow Brommies on their premises? H&S gawn mad??!

ha ha, ok, maybe I'm being a bit negative but...

The problem is there is a limited number of racks at our office (these are spaces dedicated to our company - we have 30 spaces for an office that holds about 1000 people) , so we all have to scrabble about to fit - so if you have a brommie, you could either take it in the office with you or fold it and fasten it to the end of the rack thus allowing an extra space for one more colleague to park too.

Just parking it lilke that to me means you dont need a brommie.

While I'm grumbling... while I was showering and changing, 3 sweaty blokes came in got changed and went to their desks. Please guys unless you've only come a mile or so - you stink!

Glad I'm not alone ^_^, and people are allowed to take them into the office

Soneone does the same with a Dahon where I work, although a pedal spindle has snapped and its been locked up and forgotten for 5 weeks. Just throw it in a skip, or fix it - stop inflicting your broken tat on people with working bikes who could utilise the space.
