bad luck Garilla. thank god you were not on your way to work
Funnily enough I stsrted a thread about carp patch adhesive last w/e . I'm sure that the formulae has changed due to EU legislation (glue sniffing problems)

At least in the old days if you couldn't fix your P&%$£2* you could sit under a tree and sniff your glue :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Have you looked at the tubeless tyre options ?

To be honest, teh glue worked when I was in the warmth and dryness of the office. It simply when in the wet I could not get it to stick.

I'm going to look into the tubeless options.

I've never been able to locate a puncture without a bucket of water.

You stand in a bucket of water to fix your punctures ?

I usually pass the tube past my face as your ears can hear the air escaping and your cheek will pick up the escaping air jet. If its a biggy you may need to pump the tube then scrunch it up to apply more pressure ...simples ..

How did that happen? Tear and wear?
Yes. Over the years, the brake pads rubbing again the rim wore the rim so thin it gave way under the pressure of the tyre. Luckily no tyre blow-out!

I was waiting for something on here.:o)

I notice they don't grip on the station concourse. Not very well anyway.

Only worry I had was, were they damaging the frame and how well do they take potholes compared to an 'oridnary' tyre.Plus I got 700x23 when I wanted 700x25.

2 guys from work tried these tyres a few weeks ago and 1 sent them back as they felt very un-safe especially round corners.
The other kept the rear one on as he has a leccy bike :blush:and the faff to get the back wheel off meant he would rather put up with the choppy ride than spend an hour fixing a p***t**e:laugh:

Admittedly I havent fitted them on the front and probably wont with the 'advice' here. The rear has been fine now 40+ miles done no probs.Dont have too much problem with the ride and if I dont think about what tyre I have on the rear I dont really notice a lot of difference.
