None of that would put me off an adventure, but I'd be circumspect in my activities. One of the best holidays I had was to Belgrade, while it was still virtually closed to tourists after the war. When we got our visas, we were the only ones to be granted them that day.Sounds like a great country to visit.![]()
We’re joining a tour in Antigua that goes up to Tikal, Belize, Yucatan, but we’ve got about 4 days beforehand to go to Atitlán for some birdwatching, chilling and a gentle off road guided cycle probablyI went to Tikal and Antigua in about 2003 as part of a sightseeing trip of Mayan ruins in Mexico and Guatemala. I loved it.
Not sure I would fancy cycling there. Traffic is 'shut your eyes and trust in God'.
