Soller is a nice little compact town to stay in. Good for walking. Only good for cycling if you like hills though..
We were in Soller a couple of years ago when they had the 'Es Fiero' festival on. Well,I say that we were there, we were staying on the far side of the island and hired a Smart Car to get about for the duration. Took a trip over the mountain range, and by chance happened on it as we came down the other side. Soller is a nice place, but there isn't a huge amount there, so am looking at the prospect of staying central in Palma and using the public transport as car hire bumps up the bill a bit, and parking there is shockingly expensive.
I've actually mooted the idea of cycle hire a couple of weeks ago on here, but as my o/h doesn't ride a bike in the UK, the prospect of her feeling confident enough to ride on the right is slim to non existent. Never say never, and I will probably throw my kit in and see what is available locally. Cycling in Palma central isn't really high on the list due to the amount of traffic there though.
Shall see what happens anyhow
