Washing sealant out before mounting with a tube? Using water bubbles to locate a puncture?

Well done, tubless tyre got a cut and Des had to wash the sealant out before useing tempoary tyre patch and fitting tube. TBH Des is a friend of mine and i did not know what he was doing when i seen it on his facebook, my guess was that the puncture fairy was up to more tricks and had now started to play hide and seek after giveing out punctures. So very well done no one on his facebook got it right.

LOL wish i had though of that to post on his facebook, actually will post that as the real reason now. This cyclist is an insperation he had a very bad stroke a few years ago and was lucky to survive and now cycling almost every day putting in hundreds of miles a week.

I've done that once and my approach was just to leave the sealant where it was - in the tyre.
Anyone who's changed sealant in a tyre must have found that the sealant really wants to stay in the tyre, it's quite difficult to pour it out. So I just bunged the tube in, crossed my fingers that there weren't any spikes sticking through the tyre that the sealant had dealt with which would puncture my tube (there weren't) and off I went. It was a surprisingly un-messy process. It was fine but it was a right mess to deal with when I got home. But being at home with a hosepipe handy is where you want to deal with mess.
I should add that I didn't have a sea handy when it happened to me. If I had, then I may well have done what your friend did.
