Yes I can, Yes I am, Yes I did...Repeat.
I know a bit about both but not expert at either .

I like to think bikes are like guitars...they need setting up well, the cables are like strings..they stretch and go rusty, the frame is the body the stem the neck etc...

I think a cheap bike well fitted(set up) will ride better than an expensive bike poorly set up. I played some very expensive 'vintage' guitars in my time and some of them were horrid to play, whereas my 1980's squier strat is a dream to play.

FWIW I think my Bianchi c2c alu carb is akin to my mex classic strat ( I modded it into oblivion so its better than a usa one now) or my Ibanez RG 570 from the 80's. If I upgraded to a full carbon bianchi perhpas that would be akin to th eupper end usa strats.

My dawes galaxy is a work horse...so I'd compare it to say a 1980's strat that has all kinds of dents in it but you can rely on to deal with any situation, stay in tune, and age well...it's your go to axe/ride.

The knock always slows down?

I don't actually know the answer!

Could be: the knocking speeds up for a bit, then slows down, and he comes in at the wrong time.

Or: he'd never knock at the door, he lives three streets away and he'd never work out how to use the pedestrian crossing.

the parallels are pretty close.
• often a second hand purchase is better than a cheap, but new purchase
• unless you know what you're doing, buy from a proper shop, not supermarket or ebay
• you'll look a pillock with kit well beyond your ability

my road bike was owned by the who,

well, if it was a guitar, then it would have been and suffered as a result!

So when Wiggo crossed the finish line in Paris, the team should have smashed their bikes and wrecked the team bus by driving it into the river?
