Had my gallbladder out 30th Jan.I am now feeling much better.Eating well but careful to avoid fatty foods for the first month. But i am craving certain foods.Pork pies (Vernon stop posting about pies).Chocolate my weakness, nuts all types.Weds went for a walk and finished up in Sainsbury's bought a skinny latte and i kid you not waked past the fresh cake dept twice.I did not buy.I am struggling but got to keep strong for a couple of more weeks.

When I was last in hospital, for some strange reason, I seemed to crave a limeade ice cream drink from Colpi's, a certain local ice cream parlour. I finally went for one and it was nowhere as good as I had imagined it!

The time before that, I craved both salt and vinegar crisps and spaghetti Carbonara.

Dalby's is waiting for you at the end of the road. No need to walk far for a pie fix. :hungry:

Out of curiosity Postman, do yu have to take medication to compensate for the lack of a gall bladder?

The medication given to me is one months supply of Omeprazole 20mg.I take two each morning before food.i think it's just a stomach liner.Third week now and no problems at all.Doing light housework and ironing and washing up and perparing dinners. And have been doing for over a week now.Getting restless it's a good job it's a little chilly or the pull of the bike might be a little hard to resist.I9 think the idea from now on is eat healthy and keep away from real fatty food.Things like bacon sarnies, fry ups are out.I will cut down on large bars of chocolate but will still buy it,have everything in moderation. No problems at all and all is going well.
