I'm meeting up with a (non-cycling) friend in London in a couple of days, and we fancied exploring parts of the capital we don't know much, to whit the Hoxton to Hackney area which half of fashionable London seems to have gravitated towards in recent years.
When I say exploring, it will involve some eating and a fair bit of afternoon drinking. So what we are after is ideas for a road or area with some decent pubs and/or unfussy restaurants that we can head for when the time comes.
Does anyone have any suggestions? A good pub that serves food maybe, or just a good area to look?
