Just got back from a 18 mile ride around combe abbey and brinklow, i must have been having one of those good days, as my legs were feeling really good, even the hills didnt hurt 
I was with my cycle buddy who sets the pace , then i speed up/get the heart rate up a bit the settle back down again/let him catch up (hes on a hybrid thingy), he knows im on a missionto loose weight and is quite happy to plod along with me scooting around.
Averaged 14mph, ave cadence 64, max heart rate (up a big hill) 187.
and i dont really feel that tired
Thats some improvement over 4 miles per ride in february and flat on my back dieing
