Help please. I bought a large haggis the other day but only wanted a bit of it, so opened up the bag and fried up what I wanted. It was ok but the barley bits went very dry and crunchy.

What's the best way to heat the rest of it up to have with neeps and tatties? I don't have the bag anymore 😞

Microwave is fine I think.

You are supposed to boil them if they are real ones.
You do get synthetic ones now which you can microwave instead.
Remember to take the legs off first as they are a bit tough and make sure the head has been removed.
Some believe the anticlockwise ones are best but I never find much difference myself.

I like the ones that have been raised around the irnbru wells then fattened on distiller's spent grains. They're the most tender, but wild ones - if you can get them - are the most tasty. After they've been boiled, I like to cut them in slices and keep in the fridge, then you can quickly fry a slice or even reheat it in the microwave.

Avoid this - it smells like dog poo.

It's best if you only buy organic, grass-fed sustainably farmed haggis.

Thanks for the tip. Morrison's only sold vegan, clover-fed, intensively farmed ones that had been bagged up on a virgin's knee
