Unfortunately there is more to being highly paid in any trade than just having the skills.
yep true
is there much work in the south of france then because we know a good trained plumber in britain who just can't find the work
is your son employed by someone or is he self employed? does he employ anyone else?

He has been self employed for 14 years. He seems to find quality high paying work all over, he also speaks fluent French.
Pimlico are paying £100,000 in London, more if you speak certain languages.

If a plumber is quiet in the UK then they will be even more so in France.

the chap i know was caught up in the mass plumber training period before the economy dropped and then when he was ready to work there was loads of plumbers and so much less demand and the economy dropped and so even less demand but luckily he is also a builder and now has a contract with another chap who buys properties gets my mate to build a house on it and then he sells it

anyway now back to the topic of this thread!

Like the lady who doored my Mother two weeks back. She was part of the school run thing.
ahhhh being doored is never going to be a pleasant experience but is your poor mother okay?
i hate parked cars as you don't even know if anyone is in them or not!

She's fine apart from a bit of bruising, damage to bike and kit. Police got involved at the second attempt. Driver had parked half in the cycle lane (also double yellows), passenger threw the door open into bike lane bashed Mother half off the bike and the pannier bag flew off. Its cost us £120, attempting to claim it back from the passenger (who initially seemed to have blocked Mum's phone, but the Police had another word).

We've acquired CCTV footage, too.

Whenever I have something new to learn, I do my revision then go for a bike ride and explain it loudly to the hedges as I cycle!

You have the cctv footage which shows lack of attention and care from the passenger. Assuming they are over 14 of which they are their own responsibility.

regardless of age insurance should cover them and their actions and insurance companies aren't going to block your phone or try and make up silly excuses. well i hope not!
