Anyone tried it?
I bought some thinking it would be a cheap version of finish wet line but it seems to be incredibly sticky to the point where I'm thinking it may be doing more harm than good.

Any thoughts?

yes, i have some of this and yes it is sticky. been using it on my commute bike and it does attract the muck a bit, but then i just assumed all wet lubes were like this ?????

I use it at the moment and like it so far. Nice and gloopy, apply it, give the cranks a few turns and wipe off the excess with a rag or as you have found it attracts grit nicely.

It has been doing a good job in the snow and salt though, lubing once a week is working nicely for me, although when it gets drier I'll be back on the lighter wax lube again.

If sticky, don't bother.

TBH best any weather stuff I've found is Finish Line Pro Ceramic - for the massively unaffordable £4 for a tiny bottle (so far it's lasted almost a year for 4 bikes) or White Lightening Wet Lube (purple) in second place.

I tried the Halbords dry lube....was not impressed. Was so thin it just dribbled out of the bottle - no way of controlling the amount on each link. So ended being more expensive than the Finish Line wet lube that I normally use.

I use the FL wet lube also, shall try the dry stuff for the better weather when it gets here.

Thanks for the replies ;)

I'll persist with it then until it's gone, but I can't see my replacing it unless I end up being amazed by incredible chain lifespans!

Just a thought....
Wonder what would happen if one diluted a "sticky" wet lube with a "thin" dry lube?
If you want to try, I'll happily send you the bit of Halfords dry lube I have left.

Could be good maybe?

Well, if you don't mind sending some out I'll give it a try, thank you

PM me your address and I'll bung the remains of my bottle in a jiffy bag and get it of to you Monday.

There's not a whole lot left - but maybe enough to dilute yours and it will give me an excuse to get something better.:girl:

I think you're absolutely right.

TBH, if it wasn't on the advice of my peers, I'd be sloshing Tescos own 10-40W all over it
