I recently bought a Mercian Strada and put a few pics up on here, since then a lot has happened, I liked the bike originally because it had a simple understated look with just one colour used on the frame and I thought it would look great with some really nice polished Shimano 6600 on it, I bought a few bits from a fellow CC member and the day they arrived I noticed that Halfords where doing 20% of parts along with £20 off a £100 shop, that combined with my BC 10% was to much. I ended up buying enough bits and pieces to build the bike up with Ultegra 6700, Halfords supplied the 6700 chainset, pedals,6700 sti levers,brakes,cassette,chain and a nice Selle italia flite titanium saddle, by ensuring that each purchase was around the £100 I made the most of the available discounts and with the sale of the wheels that came on the bike I have ended up with a bike I never thought I would ever afford to own.
