Halfords roof mount rack.

I am considering getting one as it would be a lot easier than putting the bike inside the car when I have luggage and Molly ( our dog ) on the back seat.
Do you use one and what are your thoughts on it ? It could be a very wise spend of 30 pounds.

Don't have one but looked into roof mounted carriers a while ago. I'm pretty sure the £30 is for the bit the bike goes on only. You would need roof bars as well if you don't already have them.

I have roof bars already so I only need the bike mount.

It looks fiddly - there are two screws to maually tighten to hold the bike, and the straps for the wheel look a faff too.

Friend of mine has that one, dead easy to use as once the bike is lifted up there is a handle to tighten it at eye level.

I have the Freeride 532's, although branded as Halfords Advanced (bought them maybe 18 years ago). Used regularly and nothing has broken.
