was hoping to get the boardman road comp for next week on the cycle to work scheme, popped into halfords yesterday and it was on sale for 699, just checked on halfords and its now £800 :sad:

ive already sent my agreement off now which was for £750

My Halfords let me order my bike before I had received my letter of collection, not sure if they will honour the discount, guess all you can do is ask.

just went into halfords, spoke to the duty manager and hes put the order through on the computer at the offer price of £70 off even though its a web only offer and i can just take my voucher in when i get it and pay the price it currently is now.

Nice one! They get a lot of criticism,but I can't fault my local Halfords store. Enjoy the bike when it arrives.

more great news, the offer has ended but theyve just launched a new sale, the bike is now £630 so ive saved another £100 and means i have £120 for accesories :biggrin:

In store it is 3 for 2 on accessories so lots of savings there too. Also I had some extra discounts of 2 x £9.99 because I got a boardman.(Still no idea why there!).

Also I got 7.5% of my LoC value in free accessories too, not sure if that is for everyone or just my employer.

Ended up getting over £200 in accessories for £80. Enjoy.

Halfords are like Tandy used to be, always have a never ending sale!

And Boots the chemist used to own Halfords at one point, try get your cycle fixed at Halfords gave you a headache, Boots sold you the tablets to stop the headache!

Ok peeps my company only deals with Halfords C2W scheme there are a handfull of bike over £400 but these 3 seemed best to me but am no expert there were Raleigh bikes also ? My requirements are fun reliable comfortable fast commuter !

what type of bike do you wan and how much do you want to spend. ive chosen the boardman road comp for £630. any of the boardmans are good bikes, halfords will also try and get hold of brands from independent retailers if they dont stock them
