No, I don't think he did slow down, you only have to look at what happened at Spa to realise the difference that wet tyres make over dry.

Or earlier in the race where McLaren pitted too late and the net beneficiaries were... oh yeah . The point is a bit irrelevent as had Massa won the championship it would not have been in a manner as I a motorsport fan would have liked, through cheating and dodgy help throughout the season.

I was really, really hoping that the end result would have seen him on the podium with Massa and Alonso.

Yes, which made his victory even sweeter. I hope some of Alonso's nastier fans are choking on their sangria tonight....

IMHO his only 'crime' is coming to F1 too well-formed, too smooth, too much the finished article. He's the most exciting driver out there and it's never dull when he's racing.

Glock would have gained nothing by letting Hamilton pass, apart from the possiblity of his team tearing up his contract. We have seen enough times how dry tyres are lethal on a wet track, there is nothing to question about Hamilton being so much faster on the last lap.

BTW, I am glad Hamilton won, I just (as a sporting-type person) want to see the last lap data from Glock, and also listen to any pit radio.

I am overjoyed if Hamilton won and it was a fair and square race.

If it turned out pit-lane politics had a hand in the championship, then the sport has lost out BIG TIME.

The sport lost out big time this year due to ferrari's cheating and meddling, just like last year it was spoiled by the spanish whinger and bully.

I don't think any other driver would have been booed like that, whatever the situation with Massa.

My interest in motor 'sport' disappeared when Michael Schumacher took out Damon Hill to win the world championship, and then tried, unsuccessfully, to repeat the manouevre on Jacques Villeneuve!
