There's progress, it's a more expensive vehicle and an additional person involved. ^_^

Asda is rolling out its largest autonomous delivery trial with customers in London set to receive their groceries via self driving cars.

The UK’s third largest grocery store is launching the scheme in partnership with Wayve, a developer of artificial intelligence for self driving cars, and the pair will use Jaguar I-Pace electric cars for the trial.

Asda drivers lose out to Wayve safety drivers. Asda staff will still be doing the deliveries though.

Hhhhhmmm, self driving cars from one of the brands cosnsistently ranked worst or near worst for reliability. What could possibly go wrong?

Interestingly, Tesla have started to appear in the lower half of tables for reliability rankings. I'm not surprised, having been a prospective purchaser and been out off by the laughable panel gaps (we went Pornstar instead at the time), but it doesn't instill confidence in the efficacy of such systems when the people who want us to trust them seem incapable of fitting panels or trim straight.

The reliability isn't about the panels. It tends to be about software glitches as Tesla (by far) release the most software updates to improve the vehicle.
