I do hands free driving now. Not sure my method will ever be approved though.......

I'd much rather it made sure the driver was awake/alive first.

They were interviewing Mrs Ford on the Today prog this morning, and she didn't really have a good answer when Justin Webb suggested that if you stop using a skill regularly you'll lose it eventually.

The Germans were reportedly the first in the world to attempt to draft ethical standards for autonomous vehicles in 2017, they make interesting reading, not least because they're repeatedly self-contradictory, set different standards for autos to those accepted of humans, and conclude with no consensus.

Plenty of Tesla drivers already using autopilot on the motorway.

Apart from steering there is very little difference between Fords system and good adaptive cruise control.

Adaptive cruise control is great but steering is a whole new dimension imo and worlds apart from ACC imo.
