So on Saturday I have my final game of rugby of the season. Can only play once a month nowadays due to the extended recovery period needed ! Saturday's game is a bit special as I will be playing alongside my younger lad for the first time. In theory I have now ticked all my boxes - played with both my lads and played a game when I was 50. However I'm sure I'll still be dragging myself around the pitch next season as I convince myself I can still mix it with the younger lads.

What hobbies do people have to help them hold onto their youth ?

I'm setting up a music studio in my attic!

The technology now is amazingly cheap/powerful. I can't believe some of the things that you can do with just a PC and soundcard these days. I played about with synths 40 years ago but they were unreliable, limited and very expensive. I would have loved to have had this gear when I was in my 20s.

Riding my bikes and having a young family keep from growing old - although at 50 I don't think I'm even close to being old.

A lot of it is all in the head - I don't feel much different from when I was in my 20's and still get excited about new stuff and experiences.
