I've recently discovered that grandchildren like to hang onto me. So, as the family climbing frame, I can say that it's more a matter of youth hanging onto me than me hanging onto youth.

I too played rugby until a year or so ago..nearly 35 years of playing every season ..i do miss it big time so now i kind of kill 2 birds with 1 stone and cycle to the game when they play at home.

You should give coaching a go - I coach a Under 15 team. It keeps you involved in the game and its great to get a chance to pass on your experience to the lads.

I did under 11/12s a while ago but it never really worked out as i work shifts so couldnt constantly be there for them which dosnt really set the right example

There's one thing from my adolescence that I've continued right up to this day, but prudence dictates that I should not explicitly detail what it is.

Suffice to say it's now done in order to ward off prostate cancer, rather than out of any sense of enjoyment.

I'm planning on living forever. So far, so good.

Actually, with me, It's still running and now in my declining years, I've found a level that fits with me; Parkruns! I think even now (I'm the same age as Prince as discovered today) there's still something in it for me as I actually won one outright last Saturday!

Chuffed to bits I was as it's been many years now since no one finished in front of me in a sporting event.
You can't "win" a parkrun.

I did, last week. No one finished in front of me so I won. If they weren't races, they wouldn't give you positions and times and grades, would they?
Yes they would. It's a timed run. But timing a run doesn't make it a race. But clearly you know far more about parkrun than I do.
