Hanging smurfs?

Hi,

Over the last few days I have been noticing cars with little smurfs hanging from the back, usually from the tow point of a car, and so far only on cars with young ladies driving them.

Wots-that-all-about?

I just googled "smurfs on cars" and it took me to singletrack forum, where someone has said that they come free with McD happy meals.

From the title I thought this was going to be some sadistic thread about capital punishment and little blue people
I've only seen a smurf hanging from a car once like you describe I think but that was this week, perhaps its a new trend?

I used to work with someone who was responsible for the original launch of the Smurfs. By all rights he should have been buried underneath the patio for his sins

They do...and are the latest craze for youngstser to collect the whole series... and there's a lot of them to collect!
Of course this means mums are being pressured into buying more Junky food for the kids, I have nothing against McD's I might treat my bubbas occasionaly, but I know some kids that go 5/6 times a week!!

Of course my bubbas have been bitten by the Smurf bug... So I asked the local McDs if they's sell the toy seperatly (no meal required)...They do!
I now have Smurfs hanging in the bcak of my car too

Who can afford to go McD's 5/6 times a week It's a once a month treat for my herd I've seen the hanging Smurf thing on the younger drivers cars at college,bless them ! I just have lots of dirt on the outside of my car and Bagpuss and Garfield staring out of the window......i normally get asked what is the big pink cat from said youngsters

I know! And he ones that do it are the ones that are shall we say, claim to be'Financialy challenged' & can't afford new shoes!

Yep and some ! Good call on the Bagpuss,mine have watched the DVD,it's Clangers next !

Mine is sometimes powered by Skud power,kids and Mrs Skud are not to keen on the aftermath though

I hadn't noticed the Smurf executions before I read the thread. Then today it seemed every other car has them.
