The comment about the first wife brught this to mind....
I love Celtic stuff and My MiL bought me a large Celtic Cross because it was cheap in a closing down sale of "Past Times" it stands about 2 feet tall and now sits by s bush in our garden
Now our gardener always thought that I was weird because of the various green men and gargoyles, found it one day and asked what it was
Being in a flippant mood I told her it was my first wife and having her in a grave in the garden was a reminder for the present one to behave...
She refused after that to garden if I was in the house and i am always referred to as "the husband"
PS my first wife is still alive, well and living in the house after 33 years
