"Fireworks Night" does seem to go on for much longer these days. Unless there have been a series of intense skirmishes between local armed groups that I'm unaware of over the last couple of weekends.

I was at the same school as Guy Fawkes, and a number of other Gunpowder Plotters. We were quite proud of him as an "Old Boy". And I'm an Otley lad, as well - I didn't know he had relatives at Farnley.

"Fireworks Night" does seem to go on for much longer these days.

This is the first year I can't remember hearing any in the run up to bonfire night. They're on sale in our local shop, but there have been none at all let off during the day while I've been at home.
