The 6am ride to work this morning was epic, the roads were completely empty. It felt rather odd though as you rarely hear silence living in West London or appreciate that this even has a unique sound of its own.

Happy new years to the lucky souls still in bed.

Already been on my 1st ride and was surprised how busy the roads were up in the west end :thumbsdown: Quite a few road closures still in effect so :surrender: and headed back upto the NW :bicycle:

Started the New Year looking after a whimpering Irish Wolf Hound; he doesn't do fireworks alone, so you have to sit with him. :tired: At 2am his owners got home, so he started to howl to get out... :stop::tired:Now off on our first ride of the year (rain and headwind) lacking sleep :tired:. Hopefully the return journey will be easier in the dark. Providing the New Year involves more sleep it should be fine....

(PS - someone remind me in 364 days time not to dog sit on New Year's Eve or at least accept the owners suggestion of strong tranquilisers!)

I know what you mean i went out for a 4 mile Christmas day run and saw about 2 people and half a dozen cars early in the morning and only on very small back roads and a tiny bit in the center of a local village! I was surprised.

SNAP (well almost) my birthday is the 2nd! Birthday Bros Happy birthday anyway :hugs:
I am stuck inside today because i need to adjust my front derailer and need to analyse and check the google maps route for the 20 mile ride for my Birthday tomorrow oh well tomorrow i am riding to somewhere to ride a bit more so :bicycle::bicycle::bicycle:
